Coach Edna Cardenas worked for MSC three years ago and has returned to coach the Red team this year. Coach Edna swam for McAllen Nikki Rowe Swim team for four years in high school, giving her strength in swimming and helping her develop leadership skills as captain for the girls team. Edna has also worked for the City of McAllen as a lifeguard manager and as a Lifeguard Instructor, certified by the American Red Cross, for six years. Recently after graduating from UTPA, with a major in Psychology,she decided to work on her teachers certification in Elementary Ed. Coach Edna has taught private lessons for many years, and is definitely thrilled to be back into coaching the sport that has helped her reach her dreams..
