Coach Fabian Lara is in his 5th year working with the club, and is in charge of the White Group & Tryouts. He worked for the City of McAllen for 16 years, as a Supervisor/Manager/ LGI, WSI Instructor, and taught lessons from Parent/Baby, Pre-school, Youth, through Adults. He started coaching the city’s TAAF swim team in the summer of “96.” He is currently Assistant Head coach with the Mission Marlin TAAF Team during the summer months. He coached Rowe swim team in “97,” before moving to Sharyland High School in “98”. He is in his 10th year at Sharyland H.S. where he coaches & works in the Special Education Dept. He has had 2 swimmers & 6 divers qualify for the U.I.L. State Swimming & Diving Championships. He has coached Sharyland High School to several District titles in both the boys & girls divisions on both the 4A & 5A levels. The girls were Co-Regional Champions in 2007 & Regional Champions in 2008. He has been on the "04","05","06",(South Texas LSC) Zone Swim Team Coaching Staff, which has traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia & Houston TX. He has coached the 11-12 years old boys on the 2006 All-Star swim team in Odessa-Midland, TX. He is currently working on his Degree in Business Management.
