Coach Joel Penk started swimming with the McAllen Swim Club at the age of 6. During his years as a MSC swimmer he qualified and finaled in numerous STAGS, & JO championships. He was also selected to represent MSC in two All Star meets in Mexico City & Matamores. This is his 10th year as a coach with the club. He has also coached the McAllen TAAF summer league swim team for 9 years, first as an assistant and then as the head coach. He is currently coaching the Green and Black groups. He just completed his Bachlor's Degree in Special Education.
